Tom Shorto
Tom's career in insurance recruitment began in 2004. Since then he's worked exclusively across the London and international insurance markets, building the relationships across syndicates, MGAs, brokers and reinsurers that now sit behind every search and every entry in The Market Map.
He founded and ran the Insurance Division at Insight Recruitment Solutions for a decade, has worked with Bruin (part of The FISER Group) and Eames Consulting, and now leads Tower Street Recruitment Solutions as founder and CEO. That breadth, from boutique specialist firms to large‑scale institutional recruitment, gives him a working view of the market at every level.
His expertise spans underwriting, broking, claims, actuarial, risk management and reinsurance. He leads every retained search mandate personally, works directly with hiring principals rather than through layers of consultants, and prefers a direct conversation to an account‑managed process.
